Size: Once you have decided on the materials that you‘d like to use, it is time to consider the size. Do you want to go big and dramatic, making your kitchen island a focal piece of your kitchen remodel? Or are you more interested in something smaller and less obtrusive, using the island more for standalone functional? Consider how much use it will get, what it will be used for, and how important open floor space is in your kitchen when deciding on dimensions.
If you have a smaller kitchen space, that doesn‘t mean that you can’t add island space to your kitchen. A portable kitchen island or food preparation cart can add usable surface area in a smaller space. You can store the cart out of the way most of the time, and then roll it out for use during meal preparation. The movable island can match your kitchen cabinets or it can have a completely different style, the choice is yours.
One of the most popular brands that sets up Kitchen Island bars are the John Boos and Company. They offer the best in quality and craftsmanship plus total safety in all of their products. In making their kitchen island bar, they use only the best wood and steel on their manufacturing process. Some of it comes with cutting boards, stainless steel tables and chopping blocks. If you want to set up a kitchen island bar, this is probably your best choice.
